Behind The Scene: SRR's SS a flop show!!

The so-called "Sarvajana Sammelanam" conducted by senior lawyer and former advocate general S Ramachandra Rao has turned out to be a damp squib.

After the December 9 meeting at Nizam College, where the response from the people was very poor, the leaders on the dais are nowhere to be seen. There is no follow-up action from the organisers, even as Ramachandra Rao's attempt to get in touch with the other leaders for future course of action proved futile. A few lakhs of rupees were mobilised from various funding agencies to organise the show and Ramachandra Rao is under pressure to account for that money. The Bahujan Samaj Party representative, who attended the public meeting, apparently realised that it was a flop show and went out of contact for SRR. Though SRR announced that he would convert his "Sammelan" into a political party, there are virtually no takers for him.

By the way, why weren't there any crowds at the public meeting? Ramachandra Rao, initially, was in touch with Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi leader Manda Krishna Madiga to plan the meeting. Krishna Madiga has made all the arrangements to mobilise crowds to the meeting, since his single call is enough for his cadres to do the job. Subsequently, he came to know that Ramachandra Rao was playing similar trick with Mala Mahanadu leader Karem Sivaji. Immediately, he withdrew from the scene and kept himself away from the meeting. With Krishna Madiga staying away, the crowds did not turn up!
